Roanoke's Oldest and Tallest Tree
I'd have to time travel ten years or more to really determine when I first recognized the Roanoke's oldest and tallest tree. If you stand on Wasena Bridge and look to your left into Old Southwest, especially during summer when the tree is in full bloom, you'll see what I consider to be an awe inspiring site, an old oak tree that towers over the neighborhood. It really is spectacular.

I've been having fun with the promotion of this tree for years now and in 2019 I gave a presentation at Art Rat.
